Missouri receives grant to combat impaired driving

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - Missouri is one of seven states to receive a grant to combat a danger on the roads.

The Show-Me State has received a grant from the Governors Highway Safety Association and the Foundation for Advancing Alcohol Responsibility to stop high-risk impaired driving.

Reports show that impaired driving has increased by 16% between 2006 and 2016. Missouri will be using the $12,000 grant from the GHSA and FAAR to explore new ways to address the problem.
